Marja van der Burgh

When I started as Coordinator at TypeMedia in november 2013, a master programme at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague where 12 students from all over the world learn how to look (back) at letters, how to design, draw, cut and program new letters, I did not know anything about Type. Yes, I made books, brochures, handbooks, websites. Yes, at all architecture studios where I worked (especially at OMA) I learnt about the importance of presentation of projects in texts and images & that each and every way of communication needs attention. But nothing about type. I was and still am a novice in the field.

With this website I learn about letters on the go.

Daily business

I work as Coordinator at the master TypeMedia in The Hague, as a French teacher at Lentiz Lyceum, and I do PR and acquisition at Monolab Architects.
